I missed that line, because there is also a box under that with a large amount of text that I was reading. The charge is explained directly under where you enter your card information. But as the company promised, it will continue to make a stand-alone, perpetual license for Office available for the foreseeable future. When I reached out, they stated that their site did display the terms and it did explain that there would be a $1 charge. If you use Office, Microsoft would really, really, really like you to buy a cloud-enabled subscription to Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365). I did this then saw a $1 charge on my account. You will be asked for your credit card, so they have something to bill after the "free" two months are up. You are charged a $1 "set up" fee when you redeem the Groupon on the Skill Success site.
